The Full Story of Unity

For almost 30 years Pastor Eric Zeidler has had a passion for the Body of Christ. Eric and Jaimie started out in a old run down bar in the center of an all black neighborhood on Walnut St. Penns Grove, NJ.  Now to understand, God sent a Bald headed white preacher to the center of a black community.  The Building (Bar) had graffiti all over the front of the building. BUT, in the midst of the graffiti was large painted wording "UNITY".  From there God grew the ministry planting several churches and traveling around the World on missions. In 2006 Eric was diagnosed with Tongue Cancer.  The operation took 16 1/2 hours to cut and replace half of his tongue with a part of his left arm to speak.  The Lord spoke to Eric in the hospital one night and asked him, "What do you have in your mouth?" With a question on his mind. Eric didn't know how to reply. The Lord spoke and said, "What you have in your mouth is the Body of Christ"  God revealed that the tongue and the arm in his mouth is like the Body of Christ. The important part (his tongue) accepted the flesh of his arm and now they became one working together in order for Eric to speak. John 17: 20-23 Jesus prays that we would be one just as the Father and He is one.  So, the passion continues to bring the Body of Christ together.  Not by might, nor by power, but by the Holy Spirit.  We are seeking believers that know they are part of the remnant of God in these last days to join with us on February 21 for 40 days ending April 1(fools day, LOL) and 2 and believe for a mighty move of the Holy Spirit across this nation. We are asking to drop your titles, your agendas, your fame and pride, your color, race and denominations to walk IN ONE ACCORD, IN ONE MIND (Christ Jesus), and ONE PURPOSE.  The Passion is real.  Join us and seek HIS FACE.

The Goal of IN ONE ACCORD

You can do what I cannot do, I can do what You cannot do, But this one thing is sure

“Together we can do great things.”

You have one Master, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who rules over all, works through all, and is present in all. Everything you are and think and do is permeated with Oneness. Ephesians 4:5-6.

What is Unity? There are so many definitions, every able human being can give a definition. From the 66 Book Love Story (The Bible), the definition of unity comes from studying the lives of a group of people whom our Lord Jesus Christ personally mentored. I am talking about the Apostles of Faith from Peter to Matthias to the early church.

After the death of Jesus Christ and His resurrection, He appeared unto His disciples several times within the period of 40 days. 10 days after His ascension (Pentecost day), they received the promise of the father “The Holy Spirit.”

There is something unique about Jesus’s disciples. In John 17, while He was praying for His disciples He specifically asked God to keep them United in togetherness.

The goal is for all of them to become one heart and mind—Just as you, Father, are in me and I in you, So, they might be one heart and mind with us.Then the world might believe that you, in fact, sent me. John 17:21

The prayer was simple and very powerful: That They May Be ONE! The word unity as per Jesus’s definition is ONE, no matter how large or many we are.

“Though we are many, we are One body in Christ.”

In Acts 2 the Bible tells us, they were together in One Accord waiting patiently on the promise of the Holy Spirit in the upper room. Men and women about 120 of them, they had one simple purpose which was: “The Pentecost!”

The promise and manifestation of the Holy Spirit through an event that transpired on the day of Pentecost could not have happened if the disciples were not united. They did more exploits for God because after the Pentecost they still stayed together in groups, no lone walker, no one taking things personally. They were there to serve the word in Holiness and Peace.

Unity seems very basic and most people sadly enough ignore the power of togetherness. If you look at the present-day church, you will notice a lot of division. Yes! I said so because group A sees themselves superior to other groups. Whereas Paul said:

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28.

During the early church, disunity was coming up, because the devil understands very well the saying of Jesus in Matthew 28:31b

‘I will smite the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.’

Though Jesus meant in a good way, because persecution made them go in groups all over the world, there they preached Christ and established many churches. But the devil in this dispensation is making leaders fight each other. It is in this our time you see pastor A fighting pastor B and both members take the fight even personally. This is what disunity can cause. Paul asked the Corinthians church in 1 Corinthians 3:4-5.

“For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?”

We are so divided that even young Christian groups now swear allegiance: Group A will never attend the conferences of Group B and vice versa. All because both leaders do not agree and are not friends. Now you wonder why these generation of Christians are the most POWERLESS in history. This is because we are all practicing one form of disunity or the other.

This is very sad, but when you study the Bible deeply you will begin to understand the benefits of unity and see around you people that were united and what they achieved.

If you’ve gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care— then do me a favour: Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends. Phil 2:1-2.

Unity Brings:

  1. Grace. When we are walking in unity we can do more in a united group compared to our individual strength alone.

  2. Obedience. Unity helps in keeping us in check. “No man is an island on his own, you can’t just do it by your strength Never!” We’re one body, we have one simple goal: Holiness, Righteousness, and Peace with all men, without which no man shall see God. These are easy to achieve when we walk in unity.

  3. Perseverance 2 Corinthians 4:7-end, the apostle Paul was talking about “WE” all the time. In unity, we can endure, we can stand, we can push on, we can press forward to the utmost goal in life.

  4. POWER!!!!! Yes, this is it. “United We Stand or Divided We Fall” Unity brings a strange kind of power that your enemies are too scared to understand. When a nation is united, you don’t mess with them. In Acts 4 something strange happened. When the disciples were demonstrating the power of the Holy Ghost, the rulers of the city and priests of the synagogues were challenged and in distress. They asked Peter and his group: By what Power and Authority do you perform these things? These people threaten them that they went home scared. But because of unity according to Acts 4:23-37, this story will send a chill to your body. The went home and cried as a group in One Accord to God, by the time they had finished. The bible says and I quote: And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. Acts 4:31.

This is what unity can do. Unity brings Power which in turn brings Boldness.

Finally, dearly beloved, you can only give your best, but when combined, you will do great exploit. Stay united, stay focused. Paul told them in Philippians 3:13-17, but focus on verse 16: Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways,
I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land”.
2 Chronicles 7:14

In an act of obedience, IN ONE ACCORD is calling upon Prayer Warriors across the land, as well as upon pastors and churches from coast to coast, to a four week IN ONE ACCORD prayer campaign beginning April 2nd through to May 4th.

It is time to call upon God in repentance, humility, prayer and anticipation. It is time to reclaim what the enemy has taken from us. We will raise the Christian flag as we pray for the nation, families, schools, businesses, police, military, homeless, the Church and our leaders.

To participate in the prayer campaign fill out the form above.

Morally and spiritually, it does feel as though we are living in perilous times. With the global events of the last 3 years, many are starting to wonder if we are moving into the End Times. Christian persecution is on the rise around the world as well as right here in America, with pastors Churches and Christianity being for exercising their freedom of religion when it comes into conflict with man’s “laws”. However, people of faith have started waking up and asking, are we here for “such a time as this” (Esther 4:14)? But what time is it, and how long do we have to wait to see righteousness restored in our land?

As it says in Ecclesiastes 3, “To EVERYTHING there is a SEASON, and a TIME for every matter or purpose under heaven.” God’s timing is impeccable. He is never early nor ever late in fulfilling His promises. “For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” (Habakkuk 2:3). So, like the sons of Issachar, we must have understanding of the times, to know what we ought to do (1 Chron. 12:23).

A new season is upon us – the holy season in which we commemorate the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is a sacred time on both Christian and Jewish calendars. In fact, the victory on the cross was won, when Jesus became for us, the Passover Lamb, “who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29); then rising on the third day, became the firstfruits from the dead, offering eternal life to those who receive Him. Jesus literally died on Passover, was raised on the Feast of Firstfruits and then sent His Holy Spirit on Pentecost (Shavuot) to fill the Body of Christ with His power and His presence, making us the Temple of the Holy Spirit with the law written on our hearts.

The precision with which God orchestrated the timing of these events is marvelous. Not only did He set the sun and the moon in the sky to separate the day from the night, but He also “let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years” (Genesis 1:14). There is a holiness even in time and God adds His anointing and power to these holy-days (holidays). In the book of Leviticus, God instructs Moses on setting up sacred spaces in both time and place. The sacred place is the Temple and the sacred times are the Moedim (appointed times – Leviticus 23). These instructions on times and seasons, form the Biblical calendar which provide God’s people a rhythm and pattern to life.

As we can see, timing is significant to God and carries important meaning. Jesus fulfilled many Messianic prophesies during these sacred Appointed Times. In so doing, the stories of the Old Testament of the exodus out of Egypt in the natural, have a deeper revelation in the New Testament of the exodus out of the Egypt of sin (1 Cor. 10:1-13), in the spiritual. That is why the IN ONE ACCORD prayer campaign will continue to May 4th.   As we walk and pray in the natural, under the banner of Christ, we believe the spiritual atmosphere will change.

In the upcoming holiday season, we have a narrow window of time to be especially fervent in prayer for our communities – to be “doers of the word and not hearers only” (James 1:22-25). The four weeks the people reflect on the holiness of God and His character, and are called to sanctify themselves for personal revelation by engaging in seven weeks of repentance to be released from bondage of sin and to turn to freedom in Christ.

Therefore, we expect that “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16) and we stand on the promise of God in 2 Chronicles 7:14 that,“ If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

As we endeavour to bring prayer back to the places of authority and influence in our communities, we believe that the evil strongholds and “every high-minded thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God” (2 Corinthian 10:5) will crumble just as the walls of Jericho came tumbling down at the shout of praise from God’s people.

Whatever times we are in, we are told in scripture that “the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night … But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet” and “May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.” (1Thessalonians 5) Amen!
